


Barron has been a healthy scratch for the Canadiens' previous six games but will draw back into the lineup from Chris Wideman Tuesday vs. Pittsburgh. The 21-year-old has three goals, six assists, 24 SOG, eight PIMs and a -2 plus/minus through 24 games this season.

Evangelista has two goals, two assists, and 14 SOG through six games this season but will be a game-time decision Tuesday vs. Detroit as he deals with an upper-body injury. The 21-year-old has been enjoying a great first run in the NHL after receiving his first call-up just a few weeks ago.

Saros allowed four goals on 37 shots (.892 SV%) to snap a two-game losing streak as he beat the Anaheim Ducks in his previous start. The 27-year-old has been the Predators' best player this season, with his 25-18-6 record, .917 SV% and 2.78 GAA. He will face the Detroit Red Wings, who have lost seven of their last nine games and are 22nd in the NHL in goals per game (2.98).




Stamkos left with a lower-body injury in the second period and did not return. Head coach Jon Cooper did not have an update on Stamkos post-game but did say that he thinks he's going to be OK, and that he'll be evaluated on Sunday morning.

Saros allowed three goals on 29 shots (.897 SV%) for his second loss in three games as he was beaten by Vancouver in his last start. The 27-year-old has been solid as expected all season, with his 24-17-6 record, 2.75 GAA and .917 SV%. He will take on the Arizona Coyotes, who just snapped a three-game losing streak with a 6-2 win over St. Louis last game but are last in the NHL in shots per game (25.7).

Englund has three assists, 30 PIMs and 26 SOG through 41 games with both Colorado and Chicago but will be a healthy scratch Wednesday as they take on the Detroit Red Wings. Ian Mitchell's return from injury (hamstring) is the reason for the 27-year-old heading to the press box.


O'Reilly left the Maple Leafs' previous game after just 11:11 TOI due to a broken finger and underwent surgery to repair it Tuesday. He is expected to miss four weeks after being placed on the long-term injured-reserve Monday. It is a massive loss for the Maple Leafs as the 32-year-old was one of their big Trade Deadline acquisitions and had 15 goals and 24 points through 48 games this season.


McCarron had two goals, three assists, 19 PIMs and a +3 plus/minus through 13 games with the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) and has been recalled Monday to the Predators. The 27-year-old returns to Nashville, where he had a goal, two points and 17 PIMs through 15 games earlier in the season.
