Stamkos missed the Lightning's previous game with a lower-body injury but will return to Tampa Bay's lineup Thursday. The 33-year-old has 27 goals, 39 assists, 208 SOG, 36 PIMs and a -4 plus/minus through 67 games this season prior to his injury.

Saros stopped 28 of 29 shots (.966 SV%) for his second-straight victory as he beat Detroit in his previous start. The 27-year-old has been incredibly solid this season, with his 26-18-6 record, 2.75 GAA and .918 SV%. He will face the Chicago Blackhawks, who snapped a three-game losing streak after a 6-3 win over Boston last game but are last in the NHL in goals per game (2.52).

The Predators have recalled Michael McCarron from Milwaukee (AHL).

McCarron had two goals, six points and 19 PIMs across 13 games with the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) and has been recalled to Nashville Thursday. The 28-year-old returns to the Predators, where he had a goal and an assist to go along with 24 PIMs and a -4 plus/minus through 19 games this season.

Barron has been a healthy scratch for the Canadiens' previous six games but will draw back into the lineup from Chris Wideman Tuesday vs. Pittsburgh. The 21-year-old has three goals, six assists, 24 SOG, eight PIMs and a -2 plus/minus through 24 games this season.
