Hinostroza was acquired from the Panthers a few days ago and will make his season debut for Chicago on Tuesday. Hinostroza, who was pointless in nine games with the Panthers, had 39 points (13G / 26A) in 106 games with Chicago in his first go-around with the team.
Carrier is expected to miss at least three weeks with a lower-body injury that he suffered midway through Thursday's game vs. the Stars. Carrier joins a lengthy list of Predators skaters that are expected to miss at least a couple of weeks.
Hinostroza has been a healthy scratch more than not in 2021, failing to record a point in his first nine games with the Panthers. He has a better chance of cracking the Blackhawks lineup but likely won't ever be in the top-6.
Forsberg has missed the last three games with an upper-body injury and will likely miss at least a couple more weeks. This is obviously a huge loss for the Predators, who are also without Ryan Ellis, Matt Duchene and Brad Richardson.
Saros was not available for the Predators game in Chicago on Sunday but will at least be available to backup on Tuesday. Saros has been red-hot as of late but Pekka Rinne is coming off of a 27-save performance in a win on Sunday, so it's unclear who Nashville will turn to.
