Bellows was claimed off waivers from the New York Islanders earlier this week. He will make his Flyers debut Saturday.
Bellows was the No.19 overall pick in the 2016 NHL draft but had a hard time finding a permanent spot in the Islanders lineup. He appeared in 45 NHL games with them last season, scoring six goals and 13 assists (19 points). The 24-year-old will help replace James van Riemsdyk, who is out long-term with a hand injury.
Blankenburg left Sunday's game in New York with an upper-body injury and did not return. The Blue Jackets recalled Gavin Bayreuther from the AHL on Monday, suggesting that Blankenburg will be unavailable on Tuesday. Blankenburg had a strong start to the season, scoring one goal with one assist in four games.
Lauzon played in the last two games, but he will be replaced by Mark Borowiecki in the lineup in Columbus. Lauzon has a minus-1 rating and six PIMS in three games this season.
Borowiecki has been scratched for each of the last two games due to illness, but he will replace Jeremy Lauzon in the lineup on Thursday. Borowiecki has a plus-1 rating, one shot and five PIMS in two games this season.
Vrana will be out indefinitely as he enters the NHL/NHLPA Assistance Program. The seven-year veteran was enjoying a strong start to his season, collecting two points (1G/1A) through his first two games to start 2022-23. The Red Wings will hope to have him back in their lineup sooner rather than later as he is an integral part of their top six.
Saros will get his fourth start of the season as Nashville hosts LA Tuesday. The 27-year-old is coming off consecutive 4-1 losses to the Dallas Stars, where he faced less than 30 SOG in each of the starts. He will look to improve on his ugly .889 SV% with a strong showing in front of his home crowd.

In 2021-22, Blankenburg turned pro after finishing up his senior season at the University of Michigan. He spent seven games with the Blue Jackets down the stretch, scoring one goal with two assists. The 5-foot-9, 177 lbs. defenseman will replace Adam Boqvist in the lineup vs. the Canucks.
Vrana will miss Monday's game vs. the Kings for personal reasons, so look for Joe Veleno to draw back into the lineup to replace him. Filip Zadina will skate on the second line with Vrana out.
Juuse Saros will take the crease Saturday as Nashville takes on Dallas in a tough road matchup. Saros will be looking for quick redemption after the Stars put up four goals on 29 shots in a 4-1 beat down Thursday of the Predators. Regardless of his game two loss, he is still enjoying a strong .917 SV% to go along with his 1-1-0 record to start the season.
Borowiecki and Jeremy Lauzon continue to alternate games, as Borowiecki will be scratched for the second time in three games. The veteran blueliner has no points and one shot while averaging 11:31 TOI/gm through his first two games.
Lauzon and Mark Borowiecki continue to alternate games on the Predators' blueline, as Lauzon will suit up for the second time in four games. Lauzon had two PIMS and a minus-1 rating in 13:18 TOI in his season debut.
Saros is expected to take the crease after easily winning Nashville's opening game vs San Jose 4-1 last week in Prague. The Finish star stopped 30 of 31 shots (.968 SV%) as the Predators handled the Sharks easily. Nashville enters the game on a two-game winning streak and will hope to continue their early season success as they return to hockey on North American soil.
Lauzon was a healthy scratch in the first game of the season but played in the second game. He'll come back out of the lineup on Thursday to make room for Mark Borowiekcki to return to the lineup.
