Stamkos continues to practice with the Lightning and took part in line rushes for the second straight game, but will not face the Red Wings tonight. Monitor his status leading up to the Lightning’s back-to-back on Saturday and Sunday.
Borowiecki will miss his third consecutive games with a lower-body injury and is considered day-to-day—but the Senators are not sure when he’ll be ready to re-join the lineup. Fredrik Claesson will remain in the lineup with Borowiecki out.

McCarron served as a healthy scratch for the last two games, but will replace David Desharnais in the lineup tonight. Desharnais is a potential trade piece for the Canadiens, so they will scratch him as asset protection before the trade deadline. McCarron has one goal and four assists (five points) in 21 games this season.
Saros and Marek Mazanec continue to swap spots so they can each get playing time. Saros was with Milwaukee over their bye week and is now 13-2-0 with a 1.86 GAA And .934 SV% in 15 AHL games. He returns to the NHL, where Pekka Rinne will see the majority of the playing time, but Saros is 5-5-2 with a 2.09 GAA and .933 SV% with Nashville this season.
