Bernier will return to the Maple Leafs' crease on Tuesday.

Bernier posted three consecutive shutouts to start his conditioning stint with the Marlies, but ended it with a stinker, allowing five goals in an overtime loss on Sunday. He finished his time in the AHL with a 3-0-1 record, 1.25 GAA and .948 SV%. He returns to the Maple Leafs in search of his first NHL win of the season—his first start comes against a banged up Lightning team that has still managed to win four of their last six.

Allen stopped all 26 shots that he faced in the Blues shutout win over the Stars last night. It was a great outing from the 25-year-old, who now leads the NHL with four shutouts this season. Allen will be between the pipes on Saturday vs. Dallas.

Allen stopped 22 of 23 shots in the Blues win over the Coyotes on Tuesday. Brian Elliott started on Thursday but it will be Allen tonight vs. the Stars. It is a rough matchup, but the Stars are on the tailend of a back-to-back, which works in Allen’s favour. He is a reasonable start, but there are a lot of options.

Palat (lower-body) is on the ice for warmups; will play tonight.

Palat has been sidelined since November 7th with a lower-body injury but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Senators. Palat will play in his usual spot on a line with Tyler Johnson and Nikita Kucherov as well as the top power play unit. Palat has seven points (2G / 5A) in 16 games this season.

Markstrom will start Saturday vs. the Bruins.

Markstrom allowed two goals on 38 shots in the Canucks loss in Los Angeles on Tuesday. It was a great outing, but Ryan Miller still started on Thursday. However, tonight it will be Markstrom against a Bruins team playing their second game in as many nights. Markstrom comes into play at 1-1-2 with a 2.83 GAA and .917 SV%. He makes for an interesting spot-start.

As soon as James Reimer is deemed healthy, Bernier will be sent to the Marlies for a 10-day conditioning stint. Bernier has struggled mightily this season, going 0-8-1 with a 3.28 GAA and .888 SV% this season. He will start a few games with the Marlies while trying to get his confidence back.

Bernier will start Saturday vs. the Capitals.

Bernier allowed four goals on 30 shots in the Maple Leafs loss in New York on November 15th. With James Reimer likely out with a lower-body injury, look for Bernier to start vs. the Capitals.
