Tatar (personal) will miss Thursday's game against the Rangers due to the passing of his father.

Tatar honoured his dad by scoring a goal and adding an assist the day after his passing. He has amassed 19 points (10G / 9A) in 38 games and is worth a look in deep leagues, especially if he sticks in the top-6 when the Red Wings start getting healthy.

Bernier starts for the Maple Leafs.

Head coach Randy Carlyle said the goalies would split the back-to-back unless James Reimer posted a shutout on Thursday, well he allowed six goals in a 6-1 loss to the Hurricanes, so Bernier goes today. Bernier was not much better in his last start allowing a couple of ugly goals, four total on 24 shots in a loss to the Islanders on Tuesday. He faces a Caps team who just snapped a four game losing streak last night.

Hamilton is skating with the Bruins for the first time since suffering a lower-body injury.

Hamilton has been out since December 8 and missed the last nine games. The Bruins are depleted on the blueline right now, so it is a good-sign to have Hamilton return to practice. He was expected to miss 2-4 weeks and it has almost been three, so he is likely to return to the lineup sometime in the next week.
