Chytil left the Rangers' previous game vs. Carolina after just 10:23 TOI due to an upper-body injury and was placed on the injured reserve Friday. With Fox being placed on Long Term Injured Reserve, he will miss at least 10 games and 24 days for the Rangers.

Shesterkin will start in Winnipeg on Monday.

Shesterkin will be the starter for the Rangers on Monday as they face off in Winnipeg against the Jets (-120 road favourites). The 2021-22 Vezina trophy winner has been very pedestrian between the pipes to start the 2023-24 campaign, recording a 2.70 GAA and .900 SV% through six games (4-2-0). Quick will start in Edmonton on Thursday.

Quick gets a somewhat surprising nod on Thursday given starter Igor Shesterkin is coming off one of his best starts of the season on Tuesday against the Flames. Quick has just one start and two appearances to his name on the year but has performed well when called upon. His last start came on Saturday against the Kraken where he stopped 18 of the 19 shots he faced enroute to a 4-1 victory.
