The New York Rangers have signed Hugo Ollas to a two-year, entry-level contract.

Ollas was a seventh-round pick of the Rangers in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft and has earned himself a two-year, entry-level contract. The 21-year-old netminder has spent the last three seasons playing collegiate hockey with Merrimack College.

Shesterkin will start on Thursday in Tampa Bay.

The red-hot Rangers, riding a three-game winning streak, will turn to Shesterkin for the second straight game on Thursday. With Igor Shesterkin's resurgence, Quick has been limited to only one start in the last nine games for the Rangers but will return to the crease on Monday night. Quick has been excellent when called upon this season, posting a 2.45 GAA and .916 SV% in 21 games (13-5-2), but has been inactive lately and allowed four goals on 41 shots (.902 SV%) in his last start on February 25th, a 4-2 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Rangers enter action as -135 home favourites against the New Jersey Devils.

Fox's status for Monday's tilt against the New Jersey Devils is up in the air as he is battling an illness. The 26-year-old blueliner is enjoying another productive season with the Rangers and has accumulated 12 points (2G / 10A) in his last 10 games.

The Rangers have acquired Chad Ruhwedel from the Penguins for a 2027 fourth-round pick.

The Rangers have added some defensive depth to their blueline with the acquisition of Ruhwedel from the Pittsburgh Penguins. The 33-year-old Ruhwedel is averaging only 12:33 time-on-ice this season, his lowest total in 10 seasons, and has four points (1G / 3A), 73 hits, and 36 blocks in 47 games.
