Quick has not played since October 23rd after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus. Quick has been activated from IR but is only expected to serve as the Kings backup on Tuesday. Look for Quick to make his return to the crease in one of the Kings’ back-to-back on Thursday/Friday.
Domingue stopped 33 of the 35 shots that he faced in the Lightning’s win over the Devils on Sunday. Domingue is now riding a three-game winning streak and is 5-1-0 with a 3.00 GAA and .918 SV% in six starts since Andrei Vasilevskiy got hurt. He will look to stay hot versus the Ducks at Amalie Arena, where he has yet to lose (4-0-0) while posting a 2.25 GAA and .940 SV%.
Domingue allowed three goals on 43 shots in the Lightning’s win over the Panthers on Wednesday. Domingue has now won three of his last four starts despite allowing at least three goals in each of those four games. In his first start against the Blackhawks, Domingue stopped 33 of 36 shots in a 6-3 win in late-October.
Harpur has been out with a back injury since October 20th, but is expected to play Saturday in Dallas. Harpur was a full-participant in Thursday’s practice and is expected to either replace Christan Jaros or sever as the seventh defenseman on Friday.
Domingue gave up three goals on 34 shots in the Lightning’s loss in Nashville on Monday. Domingue will continue to see a heavy workload with Andrei Vasilevskiy out. So far he has gone 2-1-0 while surrendering 13 goals on 112 shots (.884 SV%) in Vasilevskiy’s absence. Tonight he faces a Panthers team that has won six of their last eight, but will be without Vincent Trocheck tonight.
Trocheck suffered a gruesome injury in Ottawa on Monday night and could miss the rest of the 2018-19 season. The Panthers likely won’t release an official timetable until after Trocheck’s surgery, but their centre depth just took a huge hit. Henrik Borgstrom could be recalled to fill-in for the 25-year-old.
Panarin missed Thursday’s game but was back in practice on Friday and will play on Saturday. Panarin re-enters the lineup with 18 points (5G / 13A) in 18 games this season.
Domingue allowed three goals on 31 shots the Lightning’s win in Pittsburgh on Thursday. With Andrei Vasilevskiy out long-term, Domingue is expected to get an extended run in the Lighting crease. Even with the injury to their No.1, the Lightning should have the advantage in net this afternoon with the Flyers No.3 getting the start for them.
Nash is one of three players who will not be available on Thursday. Zac Dalpe was recalled from Cleveland (AHL) to fill-in for Nash.
Domingue allowed two goals on 19 shots in the Lightning’s 2-1 loss to the Sabres on Tuesday. With Andrei Vasilevskiy on IR, Domingue becomes the Lightning’s No.1 netminder for the foreseeable future. Domingue has a 3.43 GAA and .887 SV% in five games this season, so he’ll need to be a lot better while Vasilevskiy is sidelined.
