Quick is out indefinitely after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus.

Quick already missed five games this season with a lower-body injury and will now miss at least a couple of months following surgery to repair a torn meniscus. This is the second major injury that Quick has suffered in the last three seasons. The Kings will turn to a goaltending duo of Jack Campbell and Peter Budaj for the foreseeable future.

Domingue allowed three goals on 36 shots in the Lightning’s win in Chicago last Sunday. Domingue won’t get a ton of playing time, but he has played very well in his first two starts of the season. So far, he is 2-0-0 with a 2.50 GAA and .934 SV% and has a nice matchup tonight vs. his former squad.

Domingue was great in his season debut and is now 8-3-1 with a 2.81 GAA and .917 SV% in 13 career appearances in a Lightning uniform. Tonight he faces a Blackhawks squad that has scored 27 goals in seven games (3.86 GF/PG).

Despite the terrible outing, the Kings will stick with their unquestioned No.1 netminder this afternoon. He has a strong matchup against a Sabres team that is currently 30th in the NHL in scoring (1.86 GF/PG).

The Bruins have recalled Urho Vaakanainen from Providence (AHL) on an emergency basis.

Vaakanainen, 19, has registered two assists in six games with Providence so far this season. The 2017 first round pick (No.18 overall) could draw into the lineup in Vancouver after being called-up on an emergency basis, suggesting someone is hurt.

He draws a very difficult matchup tonight vs. a Hurricanes team that is leading the NHL in shots per game (42.3) and seventh in goals for (3.83).
