MacEwen is a big winger (6-foot-4, 211 lbs) who posted excellent numbers at lower-levels and should be a bottom-6 player for the Canucks in 2021.
Hamonic has been granted a leave of absence from the Flames for family reasons. Hamonic's daughter recently overcame a respiratory virus and Hamonic said in a statement that he wishes he "could lace up my skates and be out there battling, but my family has and always will come first."

The 24-old set new career-highs in goals (13), assists (9) and points (22) in 57 games with St. Petersburg SKA. In 2018 he represented Russia in the Olympics, where he had four assists in six games to help the team win gold.
Rubins was an undrafted free agent out of the WHL, who has spent the last two season in the Maple Leafs farm system. He earned himself an NHL-level contract by tallying 14 points (2G / 12A) in 47 games with the Toronto Marlies (AHL) in 2019-20.
