Justin Braun has announced his retirement from professional hockey after 13 NHL seasons.

Braun played in 842 NHL games over 13 seasons and picked up 34 goals, 199 points, 317 PIMs and 1093 shots but has announced his retirement from professional hockey Monday. The 36-year-old played in 51 games for the Philadelphia Flyers in 2022-23, picking up two assists, 42 SOG, 19 PIMs and a -1 plus/minus.

Erik Johnson is expected to be a healthy scratch for Game 1 vs. Seattle Tuesday.

Johnson finished 2022-23 regular season with eight assists, 98 SOG, 12 PIMs and a +8 plus/minus through 63 games but will be a healthy scratch Tuesday for Game 1 vs. Seattle. Jack Johnson will be in Colorado's lineup in favour of the 35-year-old Erik.

Adam Ginning has been reassigned to Lehigh-Valley (AHL).

Ginning made his NHL debut Tuesday night vs. Columbus and played 21 shifts, 16:40 TOI and picked up two PIMs in his first taste of NHL action. The 23-year-old returns to Lehigh-Valley (AHL), where he has three goals, 19 points, 61 PIMs and a +25 plus/minus through 65 games prior to his call-up.

The Flyers recalled Adam Ginning from Lehigh Valley (AHL).

Ginning had three goals, 16 assists, 61 PIMs and a +25 plus/minus through 65 games played with Lehigh Valley (AHL) this season and has been recalled by Philadelphia for the first time this season. The 23-year-old was the Flyers' 2018 second-round pick (50th overall).

Rasmus Ristolainen will be a game-time decision Tuesday vs. St. Louis (upper-body).

Ristolainen missed the Flyers' previous game due to an upper-body injury and will be a game-time decision Tuesday as the Flyers take on Pittsburgh. The 28-year-old has three goals, 15 assists, 70 SOG, 28 PIMs and a -3 plus/minus through 68 games before his injury.

Ersson will start Tuesday in St. Louis.

Ersson allowed three goals on 30 shots (.900 SV%) for his second-straight loss as he was defeated by the Pittsburgh Penguins in his previous start. The 23-year-old has been decent in his small showing so far this season, with his 6-2-0 record, .899 SV% and 3.07 GAA. He will take on the St. Louis Blues, who have lost their last two games and are 15th in the NHL in goals per game (3.22).

Samuel Ersson has been recalled from Lehigh-Valley (AHL) on an emergency basis.

Ersson had a 21-14-1 record, .904 SV% and 2.70 GAA with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (AHL) but has been recalled to Philadelphia Tuesday on an emergency basis due to an injury to Carter Hart (lower-body). The 23-year-old returns to the Flyers, where he is 6-1-0 with a .898 SV% and 3.07 GAA.

Braun will draw back into the Flyers lineup on Tuesday.

Braun has been a healthy scratch since March 11th and will draw back into the lineup Tuesday as the Flyers take on the Canadiens. The 36-year-old stay-at-home defenseman has two assists, 35 SOG, 19 PIMs and a -1 plus/minus through 44 games this season.
