Daniel Vladar will start Tuesday vs. Boston.

Vladar allowed four goals on 29 shots (.862 SV%) for his third loss in four games as he was beaten by Vegas in his previous start. The 25-year-old Flames' backup has struggled this season as shown by his .898 SV% and .290 GAA but still has a solid 12-6-5 record. He will face the league-leading Boston Bruins, who extended their win streak to seven games after a 3-2 win over Edmonton last night.

Garnet Hathaway will be held out of the Capitals' lineup for trade-related purposes.

Hathaway has nine goals, seven assists, 70 SOG, 52 PIMs and a +6 plus/minus through 59 games this season but will be a healthy scratch Thursday as Washington plans on moving him before the March 3rd trade deadline. Both Hathaway and Dimitry Orlov will be held out of Washington's lineup for trade purposes.

Ryan Johansen will miss an estimated 12 weeks following right leg surgery.

Johansen had to be helped off of the ice after suffering a lower-body injury in Tuesday's shootout win over the Canucks. Johansen was reportedly spotted on crutches and wearing a walking boot post-game and will undergo surgery on the injury on Wednesday. Johansen will be out indefinitely and will miss the remainder of the regular season.
