Eller missed Monday’s practice and is listed as a game-time decision for tonight’s meeting with Dallas. Monitor his status during pre-game warmups, but if he is unable to play look for Lucas Lessio to get into the lineup.
Malkin missed 10 games with a knee injury, but will return to the Penguins lineup on Saturday vs. the Jets. Malkin has 23 goals and 26 assists (49 points) in 52 games this season and should be activated in all formats. The Penguins have a back-to-back on Friday and Saturday, but Malkin will not be available. This is a tough blow for the Penguins, who also lost Eric Fehr on Tuesday, so they will need to recall a centre from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL). Monitor Malkin’s status heading into next week.
