The 22-year-old Askarov has been excellent in a small sample size at the NHL level this season, posting a 2.30 GAA and .928 SV% in three games (1-0-2). That said, the Sharks enter Monday's contest as significant +214 road underdogs against a Canucks club amid a three-game losing skid (0-1-2).

Askarov was excellent in a two-game stint with the Sharks earlier this season, posting a 1.96 GAA and .927 SV% in two games (1-0-1). The 22-year-old netminder was the 11th overall pick of the Nashville Predators in the 20202 NHL Entry Draft and has been dialed in at the AHL level most of the season, posting a superb 2.00 GAA and .938 SV% in 14 games (9-4-1) with the San Jose Barracuda (AHL).

Georgiev was serviceable in his Sharks debut last week, saving 17 of 20 shots (.850 SV%) in a 4-3 win over the St. Louis Blues. The 28-year-old Georgiev has a 3.36 GAA and .873 SV% in 19 appearances this season (9-7-0). The Sharks enter Tuesday's contest as +198 home underdogs against a Winnipeg Jets club that has lost six of their last 10 (4-5-1).
