Kaut had a goal, five assists, eight PIMs and a +1 plus/minus with the San Jose Barracuda (AHL) since being dealt from Colorado weeks ago and has been recalled by the San Jose Sharks for the first time Monday. In 27 games with the Colorado Avalanche before the deal, he had a goal, two assists, and 24 SOG.

Martin Kaut
Smith will be back in the Panthers lineup on Monday.

Smith was a healthy scratch for the Panthers' previous contest but will draw back into the lineup Monday as they take on Anaheim. The 24-year-old has a goal, three assists, 24 SOG, 47 PIMs and a +3 plus/minus through 23 games this season mixed between Florida and Detroit. He will replace Chris Tierney in the Panthers' lineup.

The 27-year-old has more than paid off his offseason signing, with his 22-5-3 record, 2.32 GAA and .916 SV%. He draws the Columbus Blue Jackets, who snapped a four-game losing skid with a 4-3 victory over Toronto last game and rank 30th in the NHL in goals per game (2.53).
