The 24-year-old defenseman had not played competitive hockey since May 2021 due to an Achilles injury and was activated from the injured reserve and assigned to the San Jose Barracuda (AHL) after a long-term injury conditioning loan. The Flames do not play again until after the All-Star break, so they sent a trio of young players, including Duehr, back to the AHL.



Svechnikov has been a healthy scratch for the last eight games but he will replace Matt Nieto, who was traded to Colorado on Wednesday. Svechnikov has eight points (4G / 4A) in 33 games this season.

Kaut was dealt alongside Jacob MacDonald in a deal with the San Jose Sharks that saw Ryan Merkley and Matthew Nieto go the other way.

He will face the Washington Capitals, who have lost four of their last six games after a 6-2 loss to Vegas last game.

He will face the Vegas Golden Knights, who have lost four of their last five games but have the eighth best powerplay in the NHL.


White has been a healthy scratch since Jan. 14th but will draw back into the Panthers' lineup Tuesday as they take on Pittsburgh. White will replace Sam Bennett (lower body) as he takes a spot on the Panthers' fourth line.
