

Ferraro missed just one game after taking a puck to the face in Florida on Saturday. Ferraro should be back on the top pairing with Brent Burns and comes in with 11 points (2G / 9A) in 41 games.



Ferraro took a puck to the face on Saturday and had to get some dental work done, so he will not play on Sunday. Ryan Merkley will re-enter the lineup to replace Ferraro, who is considered day-to-day.


Thornton will play against his former team on Saturday after sitting as a healthy scratch for the last three games. Thornton has been quiet offensively this season, scoring just four goals with two assists in 22 games.

Klingberg missed Tuesday's game in New Jersey with an upper-body injury but will be back in the lineup on Friday. Klingberg has picked up five assists in his last three games and has 22 points (1G / 21A) in 34 games this season.



Orlov served his two-game suspension for kneeing Nikolaj Ehlers and is set to play Monday vs. the Golden Knights. Orlov will be back on the second pairing with Justin Schultz and the second power-play unit.




Tonight will be Grundstrom's first game since January 1st, as he replaces Alex Turcotte on the third line with Quinton Byfield and Dustin Brown. Grundstrom has five goals and three assists in 26 games this season.

Svechnikov missed Tuesday's game in Washington but will be back in the lineup on Thursday. Svechnikov is expected to start in the bottom-6 and has 10 points (3G / 7A) in 31 games this season.

Orlov will not be available for Thursday's game in Boston, leaving the Capitals without Orlov and John Carlson on the blueline. Expect Dennis Cholowski to replace him.
