Nico Sturm will return to the Sharks' lineup Wednesday (concussion).

Sturm hasn't played since Nov. 19th due to a concussion but will return Wednesday as the Sharks take on Vancouver. The 27-year-old had been enjoying his best season to date prior to the injury with six goals and eight points through 20 GP.

Alexandar Georgiev was in the starters' crease Wednesday morning.

Georgiev allowed four goals on 33 shots (.879 SV%) in a loss to Philadelphia in his previous start. The 26-year-old has an 11-4-1 record with a .920 SV% and 2.68 GAA for the battered Colorado Avalanche. He draws the tough matchup of Boston, who is first in the NHL in goals per game (3.96) and fourth in shots (34.9).

Vanecek will start Tuesday vs. the Blackhawks.

Vanecek allowed four goals on 24 shots (.833 SV%) as he lost only his second contest in 14 appearances in an overtime loss to Nashville. New Jersey has proven the perfect fit for Vanceck, as shown by his 11-2-1 record, 2.24 GAA and .918 SV%. He draws a great matchup in Chicago, who have lost nine of their last ten games.

Vanecek allowed four goals on 24 shots (.833 SV%) as he lost only his second contest in 14 appearances in an overtime loss to Nashville. New Jersey has proven the perfect fit for Vanceck as shown by his 11-2-1 record, 2.24 GAA and .918 SV%. He draws a great matchup in Chicago who have lost nine of their last ten games.

Vitek Vanecek will start Thursday vs. Nashville.

Vanecek stopped 35 of 38 shots (.921 SV%) to pick up his second straight win as the Devils beat NYR his last time out. The 26-year-old has been nearly unbeatable in his first season in New Jersey, posting an 11-2-0 record with a .923 SV% and 2.11 GAA. He takes on the Nashville Predators who have only played once in the last week due to postponements but won 2-1 in overtime.

The 26-year-old has been incredible this season as shown by his 10-3-1 record, 2.48 GAA and .926 SV%. He takes on the Buffalo Sabres' who are surprisingly fifth in the NHL in goals for (3.7) per game and 12th in SOG (32.6).

Klim Kostin will not play Wednesday due to him acquiring his work visa.

"Klim Kostin will not play tomorrow. He had to go to Calgary today to get his work visa. He had a temporary one which allowed him to play in New Jersey and New York last week. Depending on how long it takes he might join the team in Minnesota for Thursday's game." - tweeted Jason Gregor. Kostin has yet to pick up a point through seven games while picking up 15 SOG playing limited minutes averaging 9:01 TOI.

Svehcnikov had dressed for the Sharks' previous two games but will head back to the press box Tuesday in place of Jeffrey Viel. The 26-year-old has three goals and three assists with 17 SOG through 18 games played while playing bottom-six minutes averaging only 10:41 TOI.

Martin Kaut is sick and won't travel with the Avalanche for their upcoming road trip.

Kaut will not travel with the team due to illness and will therefore miss the Avalanche's next four games as they head off to Winnipeg Tuesday. The 23-year-old has a goal and two assists along with 18 SOG through 16 games in his first season as a full-time Avalanche player.
