Phillipp Grubauer will start Tuesday vs. Tampa Bay.

Grubauer allowed only two goals on 36 shots (.944 SV%) but still took his second straight loss in a defeat to Washington in his last start. The 31-year-old has struggled yet again this season after a horrific 2021-22, with a 2-3-1 record, 3.21 GAA and .882 SV% through his eight starts. He will face the Tampa Bay Lightning, who are on a bit of a roll after winning four of their last five games.

The Kraken have claimed Eeli Tolvanen off of waivers from the Predators.

Tolvanen has two goals and two assists (four points) in 13 games with the Predators this season. Since being selected No.30 overall in 2017, Tolvanen has picked up 51 points (25G / 26A) in 135 career NHL games. To make room for Tolvanen, the Kraken waived Karson Kuhlman.

Gustav Olofsson has been recalled from the Coachella Valley Firebirds (AHL).

This will be Olofsson's second crack at the NHL this season after a short one-game stint with the Kraken earlier this season. He is getting the call due to Justin Schultz being placed on the injured reserve after putting up five assists, eight PIMs and a +8 plus/minus through 15 games with Coachella (AHL) prior to his promotion.

Jaden Schwartz will be out Friday as Seattle takes on Washington (undisclosed).

There was a small shot Schwartz would dress Friday vs. Washington but after missing the Kraken's morning skate it was announced he is day-to-day and would miss the game. The 30-year-old has been enjoying a bounce-back season with eight goals, 15 points, eight PIMS and 54 SOG through 25 games this season.

Philipp Grubauer will start Friday vs. Washington.

Grubauer allowed five goals on 28 shots (.821 SV%) as he snapped a two-game winning streak with a loss to Florida in his previous start. Grubauer will look to improve on a horrendous start to the season as he has a 2-2-1 record, .868 SV% and 3.4 GAA. He takes on the Washington Capitals, who will be hoping to stay in the win column for a third game after beating Philadelphia 4-1 in their last contest.

Ben Meyers has been recalled from the Colorado Eagles (AHL).

Meyers had a goal and two SOG while never eclipsing more than 10:00 TOI in his original three-game stint with the Avalanche to begin this season. Since being reassigned to the Colorado Eagles (AHL), the 24-year-old had a goal and five points with six PIMs but now finds himself back up with the big club.

Shane Wright will draw back into the Kraken's lineup Tuesday vs. Montreal.

Wright had four goals in his last five games with the Coachella Firebirds (AHL) and will make his way back into Seattle's lineup after being recalled Monday. The 2022, 1st round pick (4th overall) has one assist and only one SOG through seven games played earlier in the year with the Kraken and will be hoping to improve on his 8:06 ATOI.

Grubauer will start vs. the Capitals.

Grubauer stopped 20 of 22 shots (.909 SV%) in his previous start vs. Vegas to pick up his first win of the season. The 31-year-old has battled injury all season and struggled in his limited action, posting a 1-1-1 record with a 3.35 GAA and .870 SV%. He will face the Washington Capitals, who have won three of their last four contests after a 5-1 win over Vancouver in their last game.

Grubauer will start Friday in Vegas.

Philipp Grubauer has not played since leaving a game on October 21st due to an injury where he stopped 17 of 19 shots (.895 SV%) picking up the no-decision. In two starts prior to the injury, he was horrible, posting a .860 SV% and 3.77 GAA. He will hope for better luck Friday as he takes on the Vegas Golden Knights who have won three of their last four games and lead the Pacific Division.

Maxime Lajoie has been reassigned to the Chicago Wolves (AHL)

Lajoie will return to Chicago (AHL) after getting a one-game showing against Chicago where he picked up one shot across 17 shifts and 13:51 TOI. He returns to Chicago where he had four assists in his first 10 games prior to the call-up and send-down.
