The Maple Leafs have recalled Chris Gibson from Toronto (AHL).

There is no immediate update as to why Gibson is being recalled. Jonathan Bernier is expected to get the start, so James Reimer could be dealing with a minor injury or illness. Expect an update at 3 PM ET when the team arrives to the rink.

The Capitals have recalled Andre Burakovsky from Hershey (AHL).

Burakovsky, 19, did not record a point and was a minus-1 in two games with Hershey over the weekend. He was not playing with the Capitals, so they sent him back to get a few games in. Now that he is back, he could be in the lineup tonight vs. the Senators. He recorded 12 points (3G / 9A) in his first 15 games, but has just one goal in his last 11 games.

The Devils have recalled Adam Larsson from Albany (AHL) after a one-game conditioning stint.

Larsson has missed the last nine games with mumps, but went to the minor for Friday’s game to help him get back up to speed. Despite being recalled, there is no word whether he will play tonight.

Larsson (mumps) is on the ice for the morning skate; but not expected to dress.

Larsson has missed the last seven games with the mumps virus, but he is on the ice this morning. Despite taking part in the morning skate, Larsson is skating on the fourth pair so he is not expected to be in the lineup tonight vs. the Senators.

Burakovsky will play on Saturday; no word on who comes out.

Burakovsky has served as a healthy scratch for the last three games, but will be back in tomorrow. Coach Trotz had been platooning he and Evgeny Kuznetsov, so there is a good chance that it will be Kuznetsov who comes out, but if not, he could draw in on the fourth line for Michael Latta.

Larsson has been diagnosed with mumps.

The diagnostic process takes so long -- five to seven days, but Larsson is still recovering and is in isolation. Larsson becomes the 10th player on a growing list of players who have been diagnosed with mumps. Larsson has been out since December 2nd.

Adam Larsson
Larsson (flu) will not play on Thursday.

Jon Merrill will re-enter the lineup for Larsson who is battling the flu. Larsson struggled to get into the lineup in the early part of the season, but has played well as of late and has four points (1G / 3A) and a minus-2 rating in 17 games this season. He is day-to-day.

Larsson in-line to make his season debut on Tuesday.

The former fourth overall pick has been a healthy scratch in each of the Devils' first five games, but it appears as if he will play on Tuesday vs. the Rangers. Larsson is skating on the Devils' third pair with Jon Merrill, while Eric Gelinas is skating as the seventh defenseman. Larsson has just three goals and 24 assists (27 points) in 128 career NHL games.

Eberle (undisclosed) is not on the ice for the Oilers morning skate.

Eberle did not skate on Monday and is not on the ice this morning. Yesterday was believed to be a "maintenance" day, but his absence today as well likely suggests he won't play tonight vs. the Kings. A full update on Eberle's status should be available upon the completion of the morning skate.

The Blues signed Jaden Schwartz to a two-year, $4.7 million deal.

Schwartz, 22, had 25 goals and 31 assists (56 points) in 80 games in his second full season with the Blues. The 2010 14th overall pick took a massive step forward last season and should be a clutch fantasy contributor this season. It took the Blues awhile to get him signed, but he will get a lot of time in training camp to get ready for the season.
