The Blues will hope to snap a five-game losing streak as they welcome the New York Islanders to St. Louis who are currently on a four-game winning streak themselves.

Binnington is coming off a horrific start Saturday where he allowed six goals on 24 shots (.750 SV%) to earn his second loss in as many starts. The up-and-down netminder will be hoping to raise his .903 SV% and lower his 2.60 GAA, unlike what he has done in his last two starts. They will take on the LA Kings, who are coming off a 4-2 victory over Toronto and have scored four goals in each of their last three games.

He has been exceptional through three starts this season, going 3-0-0 while pitching the fifth-best save percentage (.940 SV%) and this best GAA (1.65) in the NHL. His Blues will host the Oilers who have won two of their last three games by scoring six goals and will also be hoping to solve Binnington this time around.

Oskar Sundqvist is day-to-day with an injury

Sundqvist is day-to-day after playing through an issue in Detroits 6-2 loss to New Jersey Tuesday. Head coach Derek Lalonde said they are not sure if he will be able to make it back into the lineup Thursday. Sundqvist has five points (1G/4A) in his first six games played.

Pavel Buchnevich has been placed on injured reserve Tuesday

Buchnevich has not played since the Blues season opener on October 15th where he had a strong first game, collecting a goal and an assist to go along with a +3 plus/minus rating. The Blues confirmed Tuesday he was placed on the injured reserve due to a lower-body injury. The Blues will hope to have their star winger back sooner rather than later as he has 78 points (31G/47A) in 74 career games with St.Louis.

Brandon Saad will not play Monday after suffering an upper-body injury

Brandon Saad left St. Louis's shutout win over Edmonton Saturday early with an upper-body injury that will keep him out of the lineup tonight. Saad has yet to register a point in 2022-23, collecting five shots through three games to go along with a -2 plus/minus rating.

Dylan Holloway will not play Monday vs. Pittsburgh

Head coach Jay Woodcroft has announced that Dylan Halloway will miss another game Monday even though he was back on the ice this morning for practice. Halloway is still searching for his first career NHL point after three games with the Oilers so far in 2022-23.
