




Toropchenko will miss the start of the 2022-23 season after undergoing offseason shoulder surgery. Toropchenko will "probably be out until early December." Blues GM Doug Armstrong said that "it's one of those (injuries) where he could have potentially played with it and got injured again, then you're looking at a four- to five-month surgery." Toropchenko had two goals and two assists in 40 combined regular season and playoff games during his first NHL season.














Walker had no points and just one shot on goal in the first two games of the season, averaging just 7:49 TOI/gm. He'll be replaced by Dakota Joshua in the Blues' bottom-6.

Schenn missed the final four games of the regular season but was on the third line in Sunday's practice and is expected to play in Game 1. Schenn had 24 goals and 34 assists (58 points) in 62 games this season.
