Leivo will miss 2-to-3 months with a fractured kneecap.

Following Thursday's game, head coach Travis Green said that he didn't think it was "going to be great" and the news is terrible. Leivo will be out until at least mid-February and his absence will allow Loui Eriksson to draw back into the lineup on Saturday.

The Canucks did not have an update on Leivo's status postgame but head coach Travis Green said that he doesn't think "it's going to be great though." Zack MacEwen was called up on Friday, suggesting that Leivo will miss Saturday's game at the very least.

The Lightning have reassigned Mathieu Joseph to Syracuse (AHL).

Joseph started the season at a decent pace, posting seven points (4G / 3A) while playing 12:36 ATOI in his first 21 games but has no points and a minus-4 rating while playing just 9:43 ATOI in his last 10. He'll go back to Syracuse to get his game back in order, which means that Mitchell Stephens will remain with the Lightning and play on the fourth line on Thursday.

Binnington allowed three goals on 22 shots in the Blues win over the Blackhawks on Saturday. Binnington has won four of his last six (4-2-0) with a 3.28 GAA and .894 SV%. He hasn't been great but has done enough to win lately. Tonight he faces a Colorado team that is on a nine-game point streak, going 8-0-1 while scoring 4.00 goals per game during that stretch.

Binnnington allowed two goals on 29 shots in the Blues win over the Golden Knights on Thursday. It was a much-needed outing for Binnington, who had played poorly in his previous two starts. Today he faces a Blackhawks team that is 3-7-2 in their last 12 in St. Louis, where he is 9-3-3 with a 2.23 GAA, .926 SV% and one shutout this year. Don't hesitate to start Binnnington.

Binnington was pulled after he allowed four goals on 11 shots in the Blues' loss to the Maple Leafs last Saturday. Binnington has lost three of his last five starts while posting a 3.61 GAA and .901 SV% and draws a tough matchup with the Golden Knights in town. Vegas has won five of their last seven (5-1-1) while scoring 3.00 goals per game.

Kyrou will make his season debut on Tuesday.

Kyrou was recalled from San Antonio (AHL) on Monday and will play Tuesday in Buffalo. Kyrou has played very well in the AHL this season, scoring nine goals with six assists (15 points) in 16 games--giving him 58 points (25G / 31A) in 63 career AHL games. He'll be given an excellent chance to produce on Tuesday, as he'll skate with Brayden Schenn and Jaden Schwartz. He had just three points (1G / 2A) in 16 games with St. Louis last year.

Leddy is day-to-day with a lower-body injury; will not play Monday.

Leddy played 22:01 TOI on Saturday but is dealing with an undisclosed lower-body injury. Leddy was not on the ice for the Islanders morning skate and will be replaced in the lineup by Noah Dobson, who is also expected to see some of his power-play. time.

The Blues have recalled Jordan Kyrou from San Antonio (AHL).

Kyrou is one of the Blues top prospects and gets recalled with the Blues struggling offensively in their last two games. Kyrou, who was a second-round pick in 2016, has 15 points (9G / 6A) in 16 AHL games this season. During a 16-game stint with the Blues last year, Kyrou had one goal and two assists.

Binnington allowed three goals on 33 shots in the Blues loss in Pittsburgh on Wednesday. Binnington has won four of his last six starts while posting a 2.02 GAA, .940 SV% and one shutout. He is showing that last year was not a fluke and tonight he faces his hometown team, who he is 2-0-0 against in his young career while stopping 63 of 67 shots (.940 SV%).
