The St. Louis Blues have re-signed goaltender Brian Elliott to a two-year extension that averages out at $1.8 per season. The deal will pay Elliott $1.7 million next season and $1.9 million in 2013-2014.

Extending Elliott is a clear sign the Blues value him enough to tandem with Jaro Halak. Interesting to see if this effects his already-stellar play.

Victor Hedman not yet speaking to the media, under evaluation for the next few days; nobody saying it's a concussion, but . . . .??

Sounds like Hedman is out long term, which should hurt the Bolts' chances of rebounding. After Eric Brewer, Hedman is the second-leading player on the team in TOI. Look for Matt Gilroy to get back into the lineup tonight.

A day after leaving the Hawks' 4-2 victory over the Calgary Flames on Sunday night at the United Center, Seabrook will travel with the team to Pittsburgh for Tuesday night's game against the Penguins.

Travelling with the team is a positive sign for the wounded Seabrook. After the game he appeared OK which could mean he draws back into the lineup. Check back for a further update on the oft-injured d-man.
