CHICAGO -- Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Brent Seabrook traveled with the team Monday to Vancouver as they embarked on a six-game road trip, according to a team spokesman.

The Blackhawks play the next six games on the road so Seabrook could miss anywhere between 1-to-6 games. The team's second most important defender has a goal and seven points through 18 games.

Brent Seabrook left the game in second period after hitting the boards hard behind the Oilers net. The Hawks declared him out for the rest of the night due to a lower body injury. It appeared Seabrook hurt his left leg on the fall.

Seabrook averages over 23 minutes of ice time a game which makes his loss a big blow to the Blackhawks. Check back for a further update.

Hedman has an upper-body injury, the team said, and coach Guy Boucher said the defenseman had an MRI exam, though there was no immediate word on what it revealed. The belief is Hedman, apparently hurt during Friday’s victory over the Blackhawks, could be out up to two weeks.

With Hedman out of the lineup, coach Guy Boucher was forced to dress both Bruno Gervais and Matt Gilroy. Expect another roster move to come shortly.
