Jake Guentzel will travel to Columbus with the Penguins

Although he is being evaluated still, there is positive injury news for Jake Guentzel as he will travel with the Penguins to Columbus. He is considered day-today in the meantime. Guentzel has enjoyed an incredible start to his 2022-23 season, as he leads all NHLers with three GWG while collecting five points (3G/2A) in four games off of 17 SOG.

Andrei Vasilevskiy was the first goaltender off the ice at morning skate

Vasilevskiy lost his second start in three games Tuesday as he stopped 21 of 24 shots (.875 SV%) in a losing effort to the Philadelphia Flyers. He has enjoyed a decent start to his 2022-23 season, as he has a .925 SV% and 2.73 albeit a surprising losing record (1-2-0). His Tampa Bay Lightning will head cross-state to Florida to take on a Panthers team who is coming off a 4-3 win over the same Flyers team that just beat Tampa.

Vasilevskiy starts his third game of the season as the Lightning host the Flyers in Tampa Tuesday. The Russian netminder will be looking to pick up his second win of the season after leading the NHL in victories in each of the last six seasons. After an opening night loss, Vasilevskiy bounced back with an impressive 26 save, 5-2 victory Saturday over Columbus and will hope to keep his success going as they take on the undefeated Flyers Tuesday.

Vasilevskiy will get his second straight start of the season after dropping the Lightning's opener in a 3-1 loss to New York. Regardless of the results, Vasilevskiy stood on his head stopping 36 of 39 shots. He draws a much easier matchup than the opener as Tampa heads on the road to Columbus.

Cam Atkinson is out tomorrow vs New Jersey according to John Tortorella

Atkinson continues to battle an unspecified injury that caused the 33-year-old to miss all of the Flyers' six preseason games. The right winger is coming off a resurgent 2021-22 which saw him place second on the Flyers in both goals (23) and points as he passed the 50-point plateau for the fourth time in his 11-year career.
