Hagel has had a terrific season-to-date but will likely miss at least a couple of games after being added to the COVID-19 protocol list on Friday. Phillip Kurashev was elevated to the Blackhawks second line with Hagel unavailable for Friday's practice.
McDonagh missed the last four games with a lower-body injury but head coach Jon Cooper said "things are looking good" for him to play on Thursday. McDonagh has collected two goals and six assists in 31 games this season.
The Lightning are already without Ryan McDonagh and could be without Cernak as well. Cernak is dealing with an undisclosed injury and has been listed as a game-time decision in Dallas. If Cernak can't play, Luke Schenn will draw into the lineup.
McDonagh will miss his second straight game on Thursday but head coach Jon Cooper hinted to him missing the final game of their road-trip (Saturday) as well. With McDonagh out, Andreas Borgman will remain in the lineup on Thursday.
