Woll has been activated to the active roster from the Toronto Marlies (AHL).

Woll did not overly impress during a two-game conditioning stint with the Marlies, going 0-1-1 while posting a 3.72 GAA and .885 SV%, but will return to the lineup for the Maple Leafs. The 27-year-old Woll started in exactly half of Toronto's games last season, posting a 2.73 GAA and .909 SV%, and could be poised for similar or greater deployment if he can find his footing while Anthony Stolarz is injured.

After a week in the AHL with the Marlies, Cowan has been recalled by the Toronto Maple Leafs in response to Auston Matthews (lower body) being placed on Injured Reserve. The 20-year-old Cowan started the season with the Maple Leafs and scored four points (1G / 3A) in 10 games.

Matthews (lower-body) has been placed on IR retroactive to November 11th.

Matthews suffered a lower-body injury after being hit by Nikita Zadorov halfway through the second period of Tuesday's game and was unable to return. He was placed on Injured Reserve and will not be eligible to return until, at earliest, November 18th. The 28-year-old Matthew has 14 points (9G / 5A) in 17 games this season and is expected to be sidelined for at least one week. Max Domi has been elevated to Toronto's top powerplay unit to replace the injured Matthews.

Stolarz (upper-body) will be out vs. Los Angeles on Thursday and is considered day-to-day.

Stolarz's absence to start the second period of Tuesday's was originally thought to be performance related after he gave up three goals in the first, but following the game, it was made clear that it was due to an upper-body injury. The Maple Leafs have recalled Artur Akhtyamov from the Toronto Marlies (AHL) to serve as the backup to Dennis Hildeby on Thursday.

Anthony Stolarz
Hildeby will start vs. Los Angeles on Thursday.

With Anthony Stolarz dealing with an upper-body injury, Hildeby will return to the crease for the Maple Leafs on Thursday against the Los Angeles Kings. Hildeby has played well in minimal action with the Maple Leafs this season, but is still searching for his first victory. The 24-year-old netminder has a 3.74 GAA and .909 SV% in three appearances (0-2-0). The Maple Leafs enter Thursday's contest as +122 home underdogs against a Kings team on a two-game winning streak.

Dakota Mermis will draw back into Toronto's lineup on Thursday against the Los Angeles Kings, sending Myers to the sidelines as a healthy scratch. The 28-year-old Myers has played nine games this season, primarily on the third defensive pair, averaging 14:50 time-on-ice, recording zero points and a -5 plus/minus.
