Philippe Myers has been recalled from Syracuse (AHL).

Myers has been recalled to Tampa Bay for the first time this season from Syracuse (AHL) after scoring a goal and three points in 11 games played in his first season in Tampa in 2022-23. He has spent the early part of 2023-24 in the minors, where he had two assists, 19 PIMs and a +7 plus/minus in nine games played so far. The 26-year-old is entering his sixth NHL season and is expected to replace Zack Bogosian, who was traded to Minnesota on Wednesday.

Joseph Woll will start Friday vs. Calgary.

Woll has allowed 16 goals on the last 113 shots he has faced (.858 SV%) and will attempt to return to his early-season form on Friday when he takes on a Calgary Flames team that ranks 25th in the league offensively (2.67 GF / GP). In his first four games of the season (3-1-0), Woll was nearly impenetrable, saving 122 of 127 shots (.961 SV%), gaining the favour of the coaching staff in Toronto. The Maple Leafs have gone back to mostly rotating between goaltenders now as the team hopes one of them can emerge as a bonafide starter.

Cayden Primeau will start Thursday at Detroit.

Primeau will start for the second time this season, his first game action since October 24th, a 5-2 loss to the New Jersey Devils, where he allowed four goals on 33 shots (.879 SV%). The Canadiens have held three goalies for the majority of the season but have mostly opted for the duties of Samuel Montembault and Jake Allen. Primeau and the Canadiens are +153 road underdogs on Thursday against a Detroit Red Wings team that has lost five of their last seven (2-4-1).

Before his strong relief effort on Tuesday, Woll allowed nine goals on 67 shots (.866 SV%) in his previous two games (0-2-0), a blemish on an otherwise impervious season thus far. The Maple Leafs are -156 home favourites against an Ottawa Senators team that has lost five of their last six (1-5-0).

Robertson has been off to a blistering start at the AHL level this season, tallying 11 points (5G / 6A) in nine games with the Marlies and now, with Pontus Holmberg being loaned to the Marlies, will get his chance to make his season debut with the Maple Leafs. Last season, Robertson had five points (2G / 3A) in 15 games with the Maple Leafs before having season-ending shoulder surgery.

Simon Benoit is expected to make his Maple Leafs' debut Monday vs. Tampa Bay.

Benoit is expected to make his Maple Leafs' debut on Monday as Maxime Lajoie will be a healthy scratch. Last season, Benoit played 78 games with the Anaheim Ducks, registering 10 points (3G / 10A), 128 blocks, and 216 hits. The hard-hitting defenceman is expected to skate on the Maple Leafs' third pair alongside William Lagesson.

The 25-year-old has demanded more starter's time due to his incredible start to 2023-24, with his 3-2-0 record, .942 SV% and 1.89 GAA. He will look to get back in the win column vs. Buffalo, who has struggled offensively this season, ranking 29th in shots on goals per game (27.9) and 18th in goals per game (3.0).

Stolarz last played four games ago for Florida and stopped 27 of 28 shots (.964 SV%) in a win in his only start of the season but will take the crease Saturday vs. Chicago. The 29-year-old has an impressive career .912 SV% and 2.90 GAA through 82 games played and will be looking to add to that Saturday. He takes on the the struggling Chicago Blackhawks, who have lost four of their last five games and are 30th in shots per game (26.3) and 29th in goals per game (2.11).

Boyd was a healthy scratch for the Coyotes previous game but will draw back into the lineup Saturday asa. replacement for Josh Brown. The 30-year-old veteran centre has been productive despite his limited minutes (10:23 TOI/GP) as he has three assists, seven SOG and a +2 plus/minus in five games played.

Ekman-Larsson (upper-body) is on the ice for warmups and is expected to play in Detroit on Thursday.

Ekman-Larsson was forced to leave the Panthers' previous game after taking a high hit from Charlie McAvoy which led to a four-game suspension and was a game-time decision Thursday vs. Detroit. The 32-year-old signed a one-year, $2.25 million contract with the Panthers in the offseason and has a goal, two assists, 21 SOG and six PIMs in eight games this season.
