

Kane had 22 goals and 27 assists (49 points) in 56 games with the Sharks last season. He averaged 33 goals and 31 assists per 82 games during his three seasons with the Sharks and should bolster the Oilers' top-6. It's unclear who he will start with.


Garland missed five games while in COVID-19 protocol but is expected to play Thursday in Winnipeg. Garland, who has 10 goals and 14 assists (24 points) in 37 games this season, is expected to skate on the second line with Elias Pettersson and Nils Hoglander.

Blueger underwent successful surgery to repair his fractured jaw on Monday and will miss at least six weeks. With Blueger out, Brian Boyle will likely be the permanent replacement on the fourth line.

Lankinen will be out until after the All-Star break, so Arvid Soderblom will serve as the No.2 goalie behind Marc-Andre Fleury.

Chytil is day-to-day with a lower-body injury and will not play on Monday. Expect Morgan Barron to draw into the lineup to replace the third liner.

Chytil played just 4:08 TOI on Saturday before leaving the game with a lower-body injury and not returning. The rangers did not provide much of an update on Chytils' status but called him "day-to-day," which makes him questionable for Monday's game vs. the Kings.


Demko will not be available for Friday's game vs. the Panthers or Sunday's game vs. the Blues. The Canucks will be in tough this weekend, missing Demko, Bo Horvat, Conor Garland and J.T. Miller due to COVID-19 protocol.





Forbort missed the last three games while in COVID-19 protocol but will play Saturday afternoon vs. the Predators. Forbort, who has four goals and three assists (seven points) in 31 games, will replace Jack Ahcan in the lineup.





The Canucks don't play until Saturday against the Senators but that game could end up getting postponed given the breakout in Ottawa's dressing room. If it doesn't, Pettersson will likely only miss one game.
