Demko will start Wednesday vs. the Coyotes.

Demko allowed three goals on 29 shots in the Canucks’ loss in Toronto last Saturday. Since Jacob Markstrom got hurt, Demko has gone 1-2-0 while allowing 10 goals on 83 shots (.892 SV%). He’s got a nice matchup vs. an Arizona team that is 1-9-1 while scoring just 1.55 goals per game in their last 11 road games.

Hronek (head) will return to the Red Wings lineup on Thursday.

Hornek has missed the last four games but will play tonight vs. the Wild. Hronek is expected to be paired with Madison Bowey and should re-claim his spot on the top power-play unit. Hronek has just three assists in his last 14 games.

Filip Hronek
Demko will start Thursday in Ottawa.

Demko allowed three goals on 40 shots in the Canucks overtime win in Montreal on Tuesday. It was an outstanding game for Demko, who will likely start every game until Jacob Markstrom is back in a minimum of two weeks. Demko has gone 4-5-1 with a 3.25 GAA and .904 SV% on the road this year but is a terrific option tonight in Ottawa.

Hronek (head) is questionable to play Thursday.

Hronek has missed the last four games but was on the ice for Wednesday's practice and could play Thursday. Hronek skated in a non-contact sweater and head coach Jeff Blashill has listed him as questionable for tomorrow's game vs. the Wild.

The Ducks have recalled Kiefer Sherwood from San Diego (AHL).

Sherwood has been called up on a number of occasions this season but has yet to appear in a game with the Ducks. He has played 50 career NHL games to-date and has 23 points (16G / 7A) in 37 AHL games this season. He could replace a potential trade chip like Derek Grant in their last game before the deadline.

The Senators have assigned Christian Wolanin to Belleville (AHL).

Wolanin has missed the first four and a half months of the season after suffering a shoulder injury in training camp. He'll go back to the AHL to get some games in before likely returning to the Senators for the final few months of the 2020 campaign. He had 31 points (7G / 24A) in 40 AHL games a season ago.
