In conjunction with that move, the Jets announce they have placed Evander Kane on IR with a concussion retroactive to January 19, 2012
Kane will be eligible to play in the Jets next game on Tuesday, January 31st but likely is out indefinitely.

Myers has been out since November 19th with a broken wrist. The former Rookie of the Year scored two goals and six points prior to getting hurt.

Myers continues to progress so staying on the ice should be a good sign. The big man has been out since November 19th.
“I take another CAT scan tomorrow morning,” Myers said. “We’ll know a little bit more there, if I can start leaning on my stick a lot more, start engaging in physical play. I think today was its best day.”
Myers was deemed "a ways away" by coach Lindy Ruff at the end of December. Sounds like he continues to take steps in the right direction but probably misses another week or two.

Kane still leads the Jets in goals with 15 and points with 26.
