Hertl has a torn ACL and MCL and will miss the rest of the 2020 season.

Hertl was forced to leave Wednesday's game after only a few shifts after falling awkwardly in a collision with Chris Tanev. Hertl tore both his MCL and ACL and will miss the rest of the season. An already difficult season for San Jose just got a whole lot worse. They'll now be without both of their top-2 centres for an extended period of time.

The Predators recalled Colton Sissons from Milwaukee (AHL).

Sissons has been out with a lower-body injury since December 27th and spent the Predators' bye week on a conditioning stint with Milwaukee. Sissons just practiced with the team but did not play in a game. He skated as an extra in Sunday's practice, so don't expect him to be in the lineup on Monday.

Saad (ankle) will return to the Blackhawks lineup on Saturday.

Saad has missed the last 12 games with an ankle injury but will play tonight in Toronto. Saad, who will replace Dylan Sikura in the lineup, could be back on the top line with Jonathan Toews. He has just 11 goals and eight assists (19 points) in 36 games this season.

Hill will start Tuesday vs. the Sharks.

Hill gave up three goals on 34 shots in the Coyotes loss to the Penguins on Sunday. Since being thrust into duty, Hill has gone 1-1-1 with a 2.94 GAA and .908 SV% in three starts and two relief appearances. On Tuesday he will face a Sharks team that is 4-1-1 while scoring 2.83 goals per game in their first six games of the calendar year.

Hill will start Thursday in Tampa Bay.

Hill stopped 37 of 39 shots in the Coyotes win in Florida on Tuesday. Hill's first start of the season couldn't have gone better but he'll be in tough in Tampa Bay on Thursday. He has stopped 47 of 51 shots (.922 SV%) in his two appearances this season and will face a Lightning team that has won eight in a row while averaging 4.75 goals per game.

Hill will start Tuesday in Florida.

Hill gave up two goals on 12 shots in relief of Antti Raanta in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Flyers. With both Raanta and Darcy Kuemper dealing with injuries, Hill becomes the Coyotes' temporary No.1 netminder and comes in at 8-8-0 with a 2.89 GAA and .901 SV% in 19 career NHL appearances. He was 9-3-0 with a 2.77 GAA and .907 SV% in 12 AHL games at the time that he was called-up.

The Bruins have recalled Jeremy Lauzon from Providence (AHL).

Lauzon has spent the entire 2019-20 season in the AHL, amassing 10 points (1G / 9A) in 35 games. Lauzon comes up with Charlie McAvoy going on IR and could make his season debut on Tuesday. The 22-year-old, former second-round pick (2015) had one goal in 16 games with the Bruins last year.

The Predators have placed Colton Sissons (lower-body) on IR.

Sissons was hurt last night vs. the Penguins and was spotted leaving Bridgestone Arena with a protective boot on his right leg. Sissons move to IR means he will miss at least one week, meaning he'll miss the Winter Classic. Yakov Trenin was called up to take Sissons' roster spot.
