He should be in a Panthers' uniform in 2020-21 and will be among the pre-season favourites to win the Calder Trophy.

Signing a two-year contract means he's signed through 2022 and will still be an RFA at the end of the deal.

Lehner allowed two goals on 34 shots in the Golden Knights win over the Sabres last Friday. It was an extremely strong debut for Lehner, who will make his second start tonight vs. the Devils. New Jersey has played well recently, winning four of their last six (4-0-2) but they've scored just 2.50 goals per game in that span.
Lehner was a surprising acquisition of the Golden Knights on Monday and will make his first start with his new team on Friday. Prior to being traded, Lehner went 16-10-5 with a 3.05 GAA and .918 SV% but goes from one of the worst defensive teams to one of the best. His debut will come against his former team, who he is 2-1-0 with a 1.69 GAA and .947 SV% against since leaving in 2019.
