Stone (Lacerated spleen) will miss the remainder of the 2023-24 regular season.

Stone has been on Long-Term Injured Reserve since February 20th and has confirmed Friday that he will miss the remainder of the 2023-24 regular season due to a lacerated spleen. The 31-year-old was having an excellent season prior to his injury, with 16 goals, 53 points, 117 SOG, and 22 SOG through 56 GP.

Morelli has been reassigned to Henderson (AHL).

Morelli was the odd man out of the Golden Knights' roster after Friday's trade deadline deals and was reassigned to Henderson (AHL). The 28-year-old left-winger impressed during his first, but limited appearance with the Golden Knights with three goals, four points, nine SOG and a -3 plus/minus in nine games played.

The Golden Knights acquired Tomas Hertl, a 2025 third-round pick and a 2027 third-round pick from the Sharks for Adam Edstrom and a 2025 first-round pick.

The most surprising deal on Friday was announced minutes before the trade deadline, sending Hertl from the San Jose Sharks to the Golden Knights. Hertl has six years remaining on a $8.1375 million AAV, which the Sharks will retain 17 percent of for the remainder of the contract. Hertl is currently sidelined with a lower-body injury after undergoing a procedure in his left knee at the beginning of February but is expected to return before the end of the season. The talented Czech forward has 34 points (15G / 19A) while averaging 20:54 time-on-ice through 48 games this season.

The Golden Knights will turn to Hill for the fourth time in the last five games. Hill has struggled lately, losing six of his last seven games and allowing three or more goals six times. In his last outing, he allowed five goals on 32 shots (.844 SV%) in a 6-3 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Golden Knights enter action as -113 home favourites in a divisional tilt against the Vancouver Canucks

Hanifin is expected to make his Vegas debut on Thursday vs. Vancouver.

The Golden Knights gave up a conditional 2025 first-round pick, a conditional third-round pick, a 2024 fifth-round pick and Daniil Miromanov to acquire Hanifin on Wednesday. The Flames retained 50 percent of Hanifin's contract and the Flyers retained 25 percent as a third-party broker. At 25 percent, Hanifin will carry a $1.2375M AAV cap-hit. The 27-year-old defenseman heads to Vegas with 11 goals and 24 assists (35 points) in 61 games this season.

Brisson was the odd-man out of Vegas' roster on Monday as Jack Eichel (knee) returned from Injured Reserve and will head back to Henderson (AHL). The 22-year-old made a solid first impression as he kicked off his NHL career with two goals, six points 18 SOG, two PIMs and a -4 plus/minus through 12 games played before his demotion on Monday.

Eichel (knee) has been activated from Injured Reserve and is expected to return on Monday.

Eichel has been out for six weeks since leaving the Golden Knights' game on January 11th with a knee injury and appears to be on cue to return from surgery at the late end of his four-to-six-week prognosis after being activated from Injured Reserve on Monday. He had 19 goals, 25 assists, 173 SOG, 10 PIMs and a +1 plus/minus through 42 games before his injury. He will be a welcomed addition to a Golden Knights team without Mark Stone indefinitely due to an upper-body injury.

Demek was the 128th overall pick of the Golden Knights in the 2021 NHL Entry Entry Draft. He was recalled by the Golden Knights last week but was unable to crack the lineup. The 20-year-old Slovak-born forward is playing his first professional season and has 13 points (5G / 8A) in 44 games with the Henderson Silver Knights of the AHL.

Samsonov will start for the third straight game on Saturday in a matchup against the red-hot New York Rangers. The 27-year-old Samsonov is coming off his worst outing since rejoining the Maple Leafs from a conditioning stint with the Marlies (AHL) in mid-January, allowing five goals on 31 shots (.839 SV%) in a 6-2 loss against the Vegas Golden Knights.
