He will miss the Capitals' next two games at the least due to being placed on IR.

With the news of TJ Oshie (lower body) out for an indefinite period, Hendrix Lapierre was recalled on Friday from Hershey (AHL) and is expected to join the lineup on Saturday. The 22-year-old centre has enjoyed a solid season in Hersey, with five goals, 17 points and six PIMs in 21 games played but returns to Washington where he also has seven points in 25 games during his previous call up.

Lindgren will start for the second straight game on Thursday night. The 30-year-old netminder was excellent in Washington's last contest, saving 37 of 39 shots (.949 SV%) in a 6-2 victory over the New Jersey Devils. The Capitals are riding a two-game winning streak and are +174 road underdogs against the Tampa Bay Lightning, losers of two straight.

Dowd played only 6:20 time-on-ice before exiting Tuesday's game with an upper-body injury. Before his injury, Dowd was riding a season-best three-game point streak, scoring three points (1G / 2A). The Devils return to action on Thursday against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Dube has enjoyed a productive season with the Hershey Bears (AHL) and earned his first call-up to the Capitals. In 50 games with Hershey, the undrafted Dube has 34 points (24G / 10A).

Fehervary played only 1:36 time-on-ice on Saturday before exiting the game with a lower-body injury and will be out of the lineup on a week-to-week basis. The hard-hitting Slovak defenseman had 12 hits and one assist in his last four games.



Milano has not played since December 10th, missing 27 games with an upper-body injury, but appears to be ready for a return to the lineup on Saturday. Milano had been held to only one point (1G / 0A) in his last nine games before his injury, firing only six shots on goal and averaging 11:19 time-on-ice.
