Dominic Toninato has signed a two-year, $775,000 contract extension.

Toninato had an assist, seven SOG, and two PIMs through five games with Winnipeg this season and has signed a two-year, $775,000 contract extension Wednesday. The 29-year-old has played in 169 career NHL games, picking up 30 points (12G/18A) and 73 PIMs.

Hellebuyck will start Game 1 in Vegas.

Hellebuyck had a fantastic regular season, finishing second in Jets history in wins in a season with his 37-25-2 record, 2.49 GAA and .920 SV% and is expected to start game 1 Tuesday vs. Vegas. The 29-year-old has previously played in 35 playoff games for the Jets, posting a 16-19-0 record, 2.46 GAA and .921 SV% across four separate postseasons. He will face the Vegas Golden Knights, who finished their season 51-22-9 and are 14th in the NHL in goals per game (3.26).

Gabriel Vilardi is expected to rejoin the Kings' lineup for Game 2 Wednesday (upper-body).

Vilardi has been out since March 26th due to an undisclosed injury and did not suit up for Game 1 vs. Edmonton but says he feels healthy and ready to rejoin the Kings for game 2 Wednesday. The 23-year-old enjoyed a breakout campaign in 2022-23, with his 23 goals, 41 points, 122 SOG, 18 PIMs and +10 plus/minus through 63 games prior to the injury.

Toninanto had an assist, seven SOG, and two PIMs across five games with Winnipeg but has been reassigned to Manitoba (AHL) on Friday. The 29-year-old returns to the Moose, where he had 19 goals, 14 assists, 24 PIMs and a +7 plus/minus in 49 games prior to his call-up.

Ehlers left the Jets' previous game after 10:57 TOI due to an upper-body injury on a dirty interference hit from Ryan Hartman which resulted in a one-game suspension and will not play Thursday. The 27-year-old ends his 2022-23 campaign with 12 goals, 26 assists, 132 SOG, 11 PIMs and a -2 plus/minus through 45 games played.

Scheifele (rest) is not expected to play on Thursday.

Scheifele had 42 goals, 26 assists, 206 SOG, 43 PIMs and a -16 plus/minus through 81 games this season but will not play in the final game of the year Thursday for rest-related purposes. The 30-year-old centre put up a career-high in both goals (42) and shots (206) this season.

Kaapo Kahkonen will start Wednesday vs. Calgary.

Kahkonen allowed four goals on 19 shots (.789 SV%) for his 12th loss in 13 games as he was handed the loss by the Colorado Avalanche Wednesday. The 26-year-old has had a historically bad season in 2022-23, with his 9-19-7 record, 3.90 GAA and .879 SV%. He takes on the Calgary Flames, who have lost three of their last four games but are second in the NHL in shots per game (35.8).

Hellebuyck was perfect in his previous start, stopping 28 of 28 shots as he blanked Nashville for his fourth shutout of the season last game. The 29-year-old has been fantastic yet again on pace for his sixth straight season finishing above a .910 SV%, with his 35-25-2 record, 2.53 GAA and .919 SV%. He takes on the lowly San Jose Sharks, who have lost three straight and are 25th in the NHL in goals per game (2.89).
