Toews last played on January 28th due to a non-covid related illness and has been placed on the injured reserve retroactive to February 7th. The 34-year-old has 14 goals, 28 points and a -24 plus/minus through 46 games this season.

Isaak Phillips has been recalled from Rockford (AHL).

Phillips has four goals, 16 assists, 36 PIMs and a +14 plus/minus through 33 games with the Rockford IceHogs (AHL) and has been recalled Wednesday to Chicago. Phillips is back with the Blackhawks, where he had a goal and three assists with a -7 plus/minus through 11 games.

Hellebuyck is under the weather and may not be available for Tuesday's game vs. Seattle.

Hellebuyck stopped 31 of 32 shots (.969 SV%) for his second-straight victory as he beat Chicago his previous time out. The 29-year-old has been in the Vezina Trophy conversation all season due to his impressive 25-15-1 record, 2.41 GAA and .924 SV%. If he is healthy and does start, then he will face the Seattle Kraken, who snapped a three-game losing skid with a 4-3 victory over Philadelphia last game and are fifth in the NHL in goals per game (3.49).

Luke Schenn will be a game-time decision for Thursday vs. the New York Islanders (undisclosed).

Schenn has three goals, 15 assists, 67 SOG, 69 PIMs and is a +8 plus/minus through 51 games this season but will be a game-time decision as the Canucks take on the Islanders as he deals with an undisclosed injury.

Toews has 14 goals, 14 assists, 79 SOG, 37 PIMs and a -24 plus/minus through 46 games this season but will miss the Blackhawks game Tuesday vs. Anaheim due to an illness. Toews will hope to be back in the lineup soon as he is a key trade chip for Chicago as we head closer to the trade deadline.

The Canucks have recalled Phillip Di Giuseppe from Abbotsford (AHL).

Di Giuseppe made his Canucks debut in their second-last game before the All-Star break. Di Giuseppe comes up after tallying 30 points (13G / 17A) in 33 AHL games this season. The 29-year-old skated on the fourth line in Sunday's practice.

Gustav Nyquist is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season (shoulder).

Nyquist was placed on the injured reserve on Jan. 28th for a should injury he suffered against Edmonton on Jan. 25th and will now miss the remainder of the 2022-23 season as he recovers. Nyquist will be a UFA in the offseason after scoring 10 goals, 12 assists, 97 SOG and a -11 plus/minus through 48 games prior to the injury.

Hellebuyck allowed four goals on 30 shots in the Jets' loss to the Flyers on Saturday. Hellebuyck has lost three in a row and five of his last six starts (1-5-0) while posting a .909 SV%. Tonight he will face the Blues, who are on a four-game losing streak and rank 22nd in the NHL in goals per game (3.02). The Jets are massive -225 favourites, so Hellebuyck makes a great start to start the week.
