Miller is expected to draw back into the Golden Knights lineup in Game 2.

Miller was a healthy scratch for Game 1 but is expected to replace Nick Holden in Game 2. Miller brings a little more offence to the Golden Knights blueline, having scored three goals with 26 asssits (29 points) in 65 games this season.

Miller appeared in the final six games of the regular season but it looks like he will be a healthy scratch in favour of Jon Merrill for Game 1 in San Jose. Miller is a solid offensive defenseman, collecting three goals and 26 assists (29 points) in 65 games but Merrill brings a more reliable defensive game.

Hellebuyck will start Game 1 vs. the Blues.

The Jets struggled at 5v5 more than they have in the past and it resulted in Hellebuyck’s numbers falling off from 2018. Now he draws a tough first-round assignment against a Blues team that has been the best team in the NHL since January 1st. Hellebuyck was 2-1-0 with a 2.00 GAA and .942 SV% vs. St. Louis this season but the last meeting was on December 7th and the Blues are a different team now.

The snapped a three-game losing streak for Hellebuyck, who will face the Avalanche for the fifth time this season—he is 2-2-0 with a 4.27 GAA and .888 SV% in the first four meetings, so this could be a high-scoring game.

Comrie will start Tuesday in Minnesota.

Comrie will be making his first NHL start of the season. The 23-year-old, former second-round pick was 23-16-2 with a 2.75 GAA and .916 SV% in 45 AHL games before being called-up after Laurent Brossoit got hurt. Comrie is 2-2-0 with a 4.00 GAA and .880 SV% in four career NHL appearances.

The Hurricanes have recalled Haydn Fleury from Charlotte (AHL) under emergency conditions.

Fleury will re-enter the Hurricanes lineup on Tuesday with Calvin de Haan back in Carolina undergoing further evaluation on an upper-body injury that he suffered on Sunday. Fleury has one assist in 17 NHL games and 10 points (2G / 8A) in 28 AHL games this season.
