Vilardi (upper-body) has improved his injury designation to day-to-day.

Vilardi has not played since late March but could be nearing a return to the lineup, an encouraging sign for a Jets team that announced earlier today that Nikolaj Ehlers (undisclosed) will be out week-to-week. The 25-year-old Vilardi was having a tremendous season for the Jets before his injury, scoring 61 points (27G / 34A) in 71 games.

Hellebuyck will start in Dallas on Thursday.

The Jets will unsurprisingly turn to their star netminder for a pivotal matchup in Dallas on Thursday. Hellebuyck secured yet another victory in his last start, stopping 14 of the 15 shots he faced in a 3-1 win over the Blues on Monday. Winnipeg's franchise netminder is well on his way to a second consecutive Vezina Trophy, leading the NHL with 44 wins, a .924 SV%, a 2.02 GAA, and seven shutouts. The Jets enter action on Thursday at +105 on the money line.

Chaz Lucius announced his retirement on Tuesday due to his diagnosis of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

Lucius was Winnipeg's 2021 1st-round pick (18th overall) and spent his 2024-25 season with the Manitoba Moose (AHL) before announcing his retirement from hockey on Tuesday. The 21-year-old's surprise announcement comes with the update that he has been diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

Hellebuyck will start vs. St. Louis on Monday.

The league-leading Jets have been inconsistent lately, losing two of their last three games (1-2-0), and will turn to Hellebuyck between the pipes on Monday in a meeting with the red-hot St. Louis Blues. Hellebuyck struggled in his most recent outing, allowing three goals on 27 shots (.889 SV%) in a 4-1 loss to the Utah Hockey Club. The 31-year-old goalie remains a favorite for the Vezina trophy, boasting a stellar 2.04 GAA and .924 SV% in 59 games (43-12-3). The Jets enter Monday's contest as -168 home favorites against a Blues team riding a 12-game winning streak.
