Joseph is expected to be a healthy scratch in Washington on Wednesday.

Nathan Walker will draw back into the Blues' lineup on Wedensday against the Washington Capitals, sending Joseph to the sidelines as a healthy scratch. The 28-year-old Joseph is averaging 12:39 time-on-ice, recording 26 hits and three points (1G / 2A) in 13 games this season.

Dobes will start in New Jersey on Thursday.

Sam Montembeault allowed four goals on Tuesday, a regularity for him this season, but managed arguably his best performance, saving 38 of 42 shots (.905 SV%) in a 5-4 shootout loss to the Philadelphia Flyers. Still, Montembeault's performance adds further speculation to Jakub Dobes' claim for more playing time. The 24-year-old Dobes has been outstanding this season, posting a 1.97 GAA and .930 SV% in six games (6-0-0), and will return to the crease on Thursday against the New Jersey Devils.

Binnington will start in Washington on Wednesday.

The Blues have struggled this season, outscored 53-17 in 13 games (4-7-0), but hope an impressive come-from-behind win on Monday night can right the ship. Binnington was between the pipes in Monday's 3-2 win over the Oilers, saving 24 of 26 shots (.923 SV%), as his team scored three unanswered goals to seal the victory. The 32-year-old Binnington has a 3.08 GAA and .868 SV% in 10 games this season (3-4-2). The Blues enter Wednesday's contest as +130 road underdogs against a Washington Capitals team that is scoring 2.58 goals per game through 12 contests (6-5-1).

Sandin (upper-body) will return to Washington's lineup vs. St. Louis on Wednesday.

Sandin was limited to only 15:01 time-on-ice in an October 21st contest and has not played since. The 25-year-old Sandin is averaging 19:24 time-on-ice and has two points (0G / 2A) through seven games this season. He is expected to play on defensive pair with Trevor van Riemsdyk.

Laughton will make his season debut vs. Utah on Wednesday.

Laughton suffered a lower-body injury towards the end of training camp and has been sidelined since. The 31-year-old Laughton was limited to only four points (2G / 2A) in 20 games with the Maple Leafs after being acquired before last season's trade deadline. The Maple Leafs will hope that an offseason helps the 31-year-old acclimate to the team's style, allowing him to return to the production he had in his previous two full seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers, when he scored 82 points (31G / 51A) in 160 games. He is expected to play on a line with Steven Lorentz and Max Domi.

Jarry (lower-body) has been placed on IR and will miss at least three weeks.

The Penguins have evenly alternated goalie starts through 14 games this season, but will rely on Arturs Silovs for at least the next three weeks, as Jarry has been placed on Injured Reserve due to a lower-body injury. Jarry has played well this season but had a forgettable outing on Monday, allowing four unanswered goals in the third period en route to a 4-3 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. He has a 2.60 GAA and .911 SV% in seven games this season (5-2-0).

Acciari (upper-body) has been placed on IR and will miss at least three weeks.

Acciari was limited to two shifts in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs, exiting the game in the first period after only 1:10 time-on-ice due to an upper-body injury. The 33-year-old bottom-six forward will be sidelined for at least three weeks after being placed on Injured Reserve. He has three points (0G / 3A) in 13 games this season.

Brazeau (upper-body) has been placed on IR and will miss at least four weeks.

Brazeau was off to an outstanding start to the season, scoring 12 points (6G / 6A) in 12 games. The 27-year-old journeyman was en route to proving he belongs in the NHL, but has been sidelined for the previous two games due to an upper-body injury and will miss at least the the next four weeks after being placed retroactively on Injured Reserve.

Lindgren is expected to start vs. Pittsburgh on Thursday.

Lindgren has been significantly outplayed by counterpart Logan Thompson early in the 2025-26 season, but will likely start for the fifth time on Thursday on the tail end of a back-to-back. The 31-year-old Lindgren has a 1-2-1 record, posting a 3.46 GAA and .880 SV% in four games. He recorded an impressive 35-save shutout in his first game of the season, but has allowed four goals on 82 shots (.829 SV%) in three games since (0-2-1).

Thompson will start vs. St. Louis on Wednesday.

Despite only allowing three goals combined in his last two outings, saving 38 of 41 shots (.927 SV%), Thompson has lost two straight and hopes to return to the win column on Wednesday against the St. Louis Blues. The 28-year-old Thompson has been excellent between the pipes for the Capitals early in 2025-26, posting an outstanding 1.51 GAA and .935 SV% in eight games (5-3-0). The Capitals enter Wednesday's contest as -144 home favorites against a Blues team that has a disappointing 4-7-2 record.

Stolarz is expected to start vs. Utah on Wednesday.

The Maple Leafs are coming off an exciting come-from-behind 4-3 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins and will roll with Stolarz between the pipes on Wednesday against the Utah Mammoth. The 31-year-old Stolarz has won three straight contests and has improved his totals to a 3.12 GAA and .896 SV% in 10 games (5-4-1) after a rocky start to the season. The Maple Leafs enter Wednesday's contest as -149 home favorites against an exciting Mammoth team that is 9-4-0 this season.

Kuemper will start against the Jets on Tuesday.

The Kings will unsurprisingly turn to Kuemper to face off against Connor Hellebuyck and the Jets on Tuesday. Kuemper was tagged with a second straight loss in his last start, as he allowed three goals on 21 shots in a 4-1 defeat at the hands of the Devils on Saturday. The 35-year-old netminder owns an .891 SV% and a 3-3-3 record on the season. Kuemper and the Kings enter action on Tuesday at -130 on the money line.

Hellebuyck will start in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Hellebuyck will make his tenth start of the season when the Jets travel to Los Angeles to take on the Kings on Tuesday. The reigning Hart Trophy winner secured another victory in his last start, allowing three goals on 24 shots in a 6-3 win over the Blackhawks on Thursday. Hellebuyck carries a sparkling .921 SV% and 6-3-0 record into Tuesday night's matchup with the Kings, where the Jets enter action at +110 on the money line.

Hanifin (undisclosed) took full part in warmups and is expected to return to the Golden Knights lineup on Tuesday.

Hanifin has only played one game this season, missing 10 straight, but will likely return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Detroit Red Wings. The 28-year-old Hanifin played 24:00 time-on-ice in the Golden Knights' season-opener and and is expected to play alongside Zach Whitecloud on the Golden Knights' second defensive pair.

With Adin Hill still sidelined with a lower-body injury, Schmid remains the go-to option for the Golden Knights, and he will return to the crease on Tuesday against the Detroit Red Wings. The 25-year-old Schmid has been serviceable when called upon, posting a 2.73 GAA and a .892 SV% in six games (5-1-0). The Golden Knights are 1-1-1 in their last three and enter Tuesday's contest as sizeable -192 home favorites against a Red Wings team with points in four of their last five (3-1-1).

The Lightning will unsurprisingly turn to Vasilevskiy between the pipes when they travel to Denver to take on the Avalanche on Tuesday. Vasilevskiy turned in a stellar performance in his last start, allowing just one goal on 21 shots in a 2-1 overtime win over the Stars on Thursday. The former Vezina Trophy winner carries a 3-3-2 record and an .899 SV% into Tuesday night's matchup with the Avs, where the Lightning enter action at +125 on the money line.
