Tampa Bay has claimed Curtis Douglas off waivers from Utah.

Douglas was a fourth-round pick of the Dallas Stars in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft but he has yet to make his NHL debut. The 25-year-old forward has spent the previous several seasons in the AHL, including scoring 23 points (10G / 13A) in 63 games with the Tucson Roadrunners in 2024-25.

Buffalo has claimed Colten Ellis from St. Louis off waivers.

Ellis was the 93rd overall pick of the Blues in 2019 NHL Entry Draft. The 25-year-old goalie has yet to play an NHL game but could get an opportunity this season with Buffalo. He had a solid 2.63 GAA and .922 SV% in 42 games (22-14-3) last season with the Springfield Thunderbirds (AHL).

Toronto has claimed Sammy Blais off waivers from Montreal.

Blais spent the entirety of the 2024-25 season in the AHL, tallying 40 points (14G / 26A) in 51 games with the Abbotsford Canucks. The hard-hitting 29-year-old forward will hope for more exposure at the NHL level after being claimed off waivers on Monday by the Toronto Maple Leafs. Blais' most productive season was in 2022-23 when he scored 25 points (9G / 16A) and recorded 238 hits in 71 outings.

Florida has claimed Cole Schwindt from Vegas off waivers.

With several lingering and long-term injuries, the Panthers added some offensive depth by claiming Cole Schwindt off of waivers from the Vegas Golden Knights. The 24-year-old Schwindt played a career-high 42 games and scored eight points (1G / 7A) with the Golden Knights last season.

Minnesota has claimed Daemon Hunt of waivers from Columbus.

Hunt was the 65th overall pick of the Minnesota Wild in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft but never found a permanent role with the team, limited to only 13 total NHL games before being claimed off waivers by the Columbus Blue Jackets. The 23-year-old defenseman will hope to find stability in his return to Minnesota.

Tampa Bay has claimed Phoenix Copley off of waivers from the Los Angeles Kings.

Copley is no stranger to the NHL, with 77 games of experience, and could work himself into a backup role for Tampa Bay behind Andrei Vasilevskiy. The 33-year-old Copley spent the majority of the 2024-25 season in the AHL, tallying a 2.49 GAA and .904 SV% in 42 games with the Ontario Reign (24-17-1).

Nashville has claimed Tyson Jost off waivers from Carolina.

After one season in Carolina, 27-year-old Tyson Jost will head to Nashville after being claimed off waivers from Carolina on Wednesday. Jost was once a 10th overall pick (2016) and has appeared with four different organizations across his nine-year NHL career. In 39 appearances with Carolina in 2024-25, he had four goals, nine points and 33 PIMs.

San Jose has claimed Nick Leddy off waivers from St. Louis.

After four seasons in St. Louis, Nick Leddy was placed on waivers by St. Louis and claimed by San Jose on Thursday. The 34-year-old smooth-skating defenseman is in the final year of a four-year, $16 million contract ($4 million AAV). He will add another veteran presence to San Jose's blueline after they signed Dmitry Orlov earlier in the afternoon.

Seattle has placed Joe Veleno on unconditional waivers for the purposes of a buyout.

After being acquired from Chicago earlier in the week (for Andre Burakovsky), Joe Veleno has been placed on unconditional waivers by Seattle for the purposes of a buyout. The 25-year-old forward is in the 2nd year of a 2-year, $4.55 million contract and will incur a hit of $2,275,000 AAV in the 2025-26 season.

San Jose has waived Marc-Edouard Vlasic for the purposes of a contract buyout.

After 1323 games played and 19 seasons in San Jose, it appears Marc-Edouard Vlasic's time as a Shark will come to an end after it was announced on Thursday that the team planned on waiving the veteran for the purpose of a contract buyout. The 38-year-old was set to start the final season of an eight-year, $56 million contract ($8 million AAV). He appeared in 27 games in 2024-25, picking up a goal, and three points to go along with a -10 plus/minus.

T.J. Brodie clears unconditional waivers and will have his contract bought out by Chicago.

Brodie signed a two-year, $7.5 million contract last offseason but will be bought out by Chicago as they continue to clear up cap space for the July 1st free agency period. The 35-year-old will cost the Blackhawks $3.23 million in 2025-26 and $258,000 in 2026-27. Brodie's forgettable time with Chicago ends after just one season with two goals, 10 points and a -18 plus/minus in 54 games.

San Jose has released Andrew Poturalski from his professional contract.

San Jose announced Friday that Andrew Poturalski has been released from his professional contract as he attempts to sign in Europe and continue his career across the border. The 31-year-old winger appeared in three total games with San Jose in 2024-25 and picked up 1 assist, but spent the majority of the season with the Barracuda (AHL), where he excelled with 30 goals and 73 points in 59 games.

Nashville has claimed Jakub Vrana off waivers from Washington on Thursday.

Vrana had only cracked the Capitals' lineup once since early January and had been placed on waivers on Wednesday. The 29-year-old Vrana is averaging only 9:50 time-on-ice and has 11 points (7G / 4A) in 26 games this season and could get a more prominent role on a Predators team struggling offensively.

Columbus has claimed Christian Fischer off waivers from Detroit.

Fischer was a lineup-regular for the Red Wings this season but found himself on waivers Wednesday, ultimately being claimed by the Blue Jackets on Thursday. The 27-year-old forward is averaged 11:09 time-on-ice and had seven points (1G / 6A) in 45 games this season with the Red Wings.
