As much as any in recent memory, this NHL offseason scrambled the pieces on the chessboard. Steven Stamkos donned a Nashville Predators sweater. Jake Guentzel replaced him on the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Ottawa Senators and New Jersey Devils overhauled their goaltending with Linus Ullmark and Jacob Markstrom, respectively. The list goes on.

Soon will come the fun part: seeing how all the revamped and rebuilt franchises look on the ice in 2024-25. Will the Buffalo Sabres halt their NHL record playoff drought at 13 years? Will Utah Hockey Club deliver a winning product in its first season post-Arizona? Can the Edmonton Oilers climb all the way back up the mountain and reach the Stanley Cup Final again after last season’s Game 7 heartbreak?

The answers will come soon. In the meantime, Daily Faceoff will help you prepare for the 2024-25 NHL season with comprehensive previews of all 32 teams. What are their strengths and weaknesses? Who are their key additions and departures? Which of their rookies will compete for jobs? And, of course, what do we predict for their results in the standings?

Below, you’ll find links to every team preview. We’ll drop a new one every weekday between now and Oct. 1, leading up to the season’s opening night of action Oct. 4 with the Global Series in Prague, Czechia, featuring the Sabres and Devils.
