The Kings signed Alex Turcotte to a three-year contract worth $2.325 million ($775K AAV).

Los Angeles has secured a key depth piece of their future for the next three years after signing Alex Turcotte to a three-year contract worth $2.325 million ($775K AAV). The 23-year-old winger is Los Angeles' 2019 first-round pick (5th overall) and has appeared in 32 NHL games in the last three seasons. In 2023-24 he achieved career highs in almost all statistical categories with one goal, four points, 14 SOG, and six PIMs in 20 games played.

The Kings recalled Turcotte (upper-body) from his conditioning loan on Tuesday and activated him off LTIR.

Turcotte has not played since March 19th due to the upper-body injury. Turcotte has four points (1G / 3A) in 20 games this season. Akil Thomas was reassigned to Ontario (AHL) in order to make room for Turcotte on the NHL roster.

Turcotte was reassigned to the Ontario Reign of the AHL in correspondence with the All-Star and, after being recalled on Thursday, will likely draw back into the lineup in the Kings' first game back. In his last outing, Turcotte scored two points (1G / 1A) while playing 10:02 time-on-ice.

Turcotte was a healthy scratch for the Kings' previous game but draws back into the lineup Tuesday as they take on Carolina. The 21-year-old has yet to pick up a point and is a -2 plus/minus through three games played so far with Los Angeles this season.

Turcotte has five goals, seven assists, 12 PIMs and a +6 plus/minus through 19 games with Ontario (AHL) and has been recalled to Los Angeles for the first time this season. The 21-year-old has played in eight career NHL games prior to this season, but has yet to collect a point.

Turcotte cleared COVID-19 protocol and is expected to play Monday vs. the Rangers.

Turcotte missed two games while in COVID-19 protocol but was on the ice for Sunday's practice and is expected to be back in the Kings lineup on Monday. Turcotte, is still looking for his first career NHL point, will centre the third line with Dustin Brown and Rasmus Kupari/Martin Frk on his wings.
