Eakin will miss Friday's game vs. the Bruins and Saturday's game in New Jersey. Look for Eakin to return either Monday vs. the Lightning or Thursday in Anaheim.
Eakin is dealing with a minor injury, so he'll come out of the lineup on Thursday. With Eakin sidelined, Brett Murray will make his NHL debut on the Sabres' fourth line.
Eakin was acquired from the Golden Knights on Friday and is expected to play Sunday in Buffalo. Head coach Paul Maurice said he will play centre but did not disclose which line he will play on. Eakin has scored four goals with six assists (10 points) in 41 games this season.
