Warsofsky will be replaced by Anton Lindholm (upper-body) in the lineup on Friday, so Warsofsky returns to the Rampage, where he has 20 points (4G / 16A) in 44 games this season.
Warsofsky, 26, has had a really strong season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, scoring seven goals with 21 assists (28 points) in 24 games. He has failed to pick-up a point in four games with the Penguins and has been recalled because Kris Letang, Trevor Daley and Chad Ruhwedel are all sick on the Penguins’ blueline.
Warsofsky, 26, recorded one goal and one assist in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s season opener and has been recalled because Kris Letang and Derrick Pouliot are both dealing with injuries. Warsofsky had one goal and one assist in 22 games with the Penguins and Devils last season.
Warsofsky hasn’t played an NHL game since January 17th because of a concussion, but he recently returned from a AHL conditioning stint and now finds himself in a Devils’ uniform. Warsofsky has one goal and a minus-6 rating in 12 games this season.
Warsofsky has been sidelined since January 17th but took part in a full contact practice on Wednesday and is nearing a return to the Penguins lineup.

Warsofsky has been recalled after the Penguins received news that Olli Maatta would be sidelined for 3-4 weeks. Warsofsky had six points (2G / 4A) in 13 games with WBS at the time of his call-up. He will not dress on Thursday.
On Tuesday, Warsofsky participated in his first full practice since injuring his groin on November 6th. He heads back to Providence where he has not recorded a point in seven games this season.
Warsofsky suffered the groin injury on Thursday against the Oilers. The 24-year-old blue liner recorded his first assist of the season earlier in the game, but his 2-4 week injury will likely see him go back to Providence (AHL) when he is healthy.
