Jaromir Jagr News
Jagr has cleared waivers and is expected to return to HC Kladno (Czech).

It looks like it’s the end of an era for one of the NHL’s All-Time greats. After picking up 43 goals and 69 assists (112 points) in 161 games over the last two seasons with the Panthers, he signed with the Flames this offseason. It was believed that Jagr still had something left in the tank but injuries limited to just 22 games through the Flames first 49 games and his NHL career will likely end on a disappointing note.

Jagr (lower-body) will not play on Thursday.

Jagr will miss his fifth consecutive game with a lower-body injury tonight vs. San Jose. The Flames signing of Jagr has not worked out as they would have hoped so far as the veteran has only appeared in 17 games, collecting just one goal and six assists.

Jagr (lower-body) will be a game-time decision on Thursday.

Jagr missed last night’s game in Toronto but he could play tonight in Montreal. Jagr has just seven points (1G / 6A) in 17 games this season, so don’t expect him to be fantasy relevant until he bites off a larger role in the Flames lineup.

Jagr (lower-body) will not return to the lineup on Thursday.

The Flames placed Jaromir Jagr on IR with a lower-body injury.

Jagr left Saturday’s game vs. Minnesota with a lower-body injury and was placed on IR retroactive to Saturday, so he will be forced to miss at least the next three games. Jagr is eligible to return Saturday vs. the Capitals, but it remains to be seen how long he will be sidelined. With Jagr out, expect either Sam Bennett or Michael Ferland to see time on the top-line with Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan.

Jagr will make his Flames debut on Wednesday.

Jagr sat out the first three games of the season as he worked his way back into game shape. The veteran winger will draw in tonight in Los Angeles, but it remains to be seen who he will play with. Jagr will likely start on the third line with Sam Bennett, but could work his way up to the top-line eventually.

Jagr will not play Monday in Anaheim.

Jagr was back on the ice for the Flames’ morning skate, but the Flames said that he won’t play tonight and that they have a plan for him. Curtis Lazar will remain in the Flames lineup tonight with Jagr still sitting in the press box.

Jagr will not make his Flames debut on Saturday.

Jagr had been practicing on the Flames third line since joining the team earlier this week, but he isn’t quite ready to play, so he will sit tonight and Curtis Lazar will draw into the lineup. Expect Jagr to be in the lineup on Monday vs. the Blue Jackets.

The Flames have signed Jaromir Jagr to a one-year deal worth $1.0M.

After a summer of hilarious Tweets and patiently waiting, Jagr has signed on with the Flames two days prior to the start of the season. The 45-year-old veteran appeared in all 82 games last season, posting 16 goals and 30 assists (46 points) with the Florida Panthers. Jagr will likely play be limited to a bottom-6 role to start, but could work his way up the depth chart in a hurry.

Jagr (groin) will be in the lineup on Monday.

Jagr tweaked his groin in Saturday’s loss in Washington, but skated on Sunday and took part in Monday’s morning skate, so he will be in the lineup tonight. Jagr has picked up one goal and four assists (five points) in 12 games so far this season.

Jagr (groin) is questionable for Monday’s game vs. the Lightning.

Jagr had a groin issue flare up during Saturday’s loss in Washington on Saturday. The Panthers will take on the Lightning on Monday and could be without their first line right winger. Monitor Jagr’s status during the Panthers’ morning skate.
