The Stars have recalled Justin Hryckowian from Texas (AHL).

Hryckowian had a strong preseason, recording one goal, two assists, five shots, and eight hits in five games. He was initially assigned to the AHL for cap-related reasons, but returns to the NHL roster after Jamie Benn and Oskar Back were placed on IR. Hryckowian ranked second on the Stars' AHL affiliate in scoring last season with 60 points (22G, 38A) in 67 games.

Hryckowian played the last two games for the Stars, replacing an injured Mason Marchment, averaging 6:40 time-on-ice and scoring zero points. Before his call-up, the 23-year-old Hryckowian had a strong season in the AHL, sitting second on the team with 26 points (12G / 14A) in 27 games.

Dallas has signed Justin Hryckowian to a two-year, entry-level contract starting in 2024-25.

Hryckowian's senior season at Northeastern University (AHL) came to an end recently and he has signed a two-year, entry-level contract with Dallas which starts during the 2024-25 season. The 23-year-old undrafted centre turned heads this season after posting an incredibly impressive 13 goals, 43 points, and 24 PIMs in 32 games with Northeastern prior to his signing.
