MacEachern (shoulder) will undergo surgery and miss the remainder of the 2023-24 season.

MacEachern has been out since December 30th due to a right shoulder injury and will undergo surgery which will cause him to miss the remainder of the 2023-24 season. The 29-year-old left-winger was appearing in his first NHL season since 2021-22 and had an assist, four SOG, and a -1 plus/minus while averaging only 7:52 TOI across eight games played.

MacEachern had four goals, 12 points, eight PIMs and a -4 plus/minus in 22 games with Springfield (AHL) this season and has earned his first call-up to St. Louis on Wednesday. The 29-year-old forward did not appear in any regular season NHL games in 2022-23 but did appear in eight games in the playoffs with Carolina, picking up a goal and an assist to go along with his +4 plus/minus.

MacEachern failed to make a regular season appearce with Carolina during the regular season in 2022-23 but appeared in eight games in the playoffs, picking up a goal and an assist to go along with six PIMs leading to him signing a two-year contract worth $1.55 million ($775K AAV) with St. Louis. The 29-year-old left-winger returns to St.Louis, where he picked up 11 goals and 19 points through 115 games played with the Blues between 2018 to 2022.
